Should I sell some guns?
I'm thinking of putting these up in the for sale forum because I'm getting a motorcycle next month and the funds from the sales would help cushion the blow. Who would have thought that a leather jacket could cost $400-$600?
Also are those good prices? Glock G26 - $500 FTF - Glock G26 in like new condition (100 rounds ran through) - Metal sights - 2 Factory mags - Factory box, manual, lock, etc - 1 Pearce grip extension (no increased capacity) - 2 Control Concealed baseplates - High Noon Mister Softy holster Kimber Custom II - $625 FTF - Kimber Custom II in good condition (approx 500 rounds, a couple of scratches on the grip from my ring and a scratch on the slide) - 1 Factory mag - 3 Checkmate mags (have performed flawlessly) - 1 KimPro Tac-mag (8 rounder) - 1 Chip McCormick Shooting Star mag - Factory box, lock, and I think I have the manual as well - 350 rounds of Remington UMC 230grn FMJ ammo Stag Arms Model 1 AR-15 - $700 FTF - Stag Arms Model 1 in like new condition (60 rounds, 1 trip out) - Ergo grip - 1 Factory 10 round mag - 1 Bushmaster 10 round mag - Factory case, manual, lock, and sticker(s) - 60 rounds of Wolf .223

NO!!
Only if trading towards other guns. I have always regretted selling guns, outright, and not replacing them. Some winter when the bike is in the garage, and the luster has worn off, and you start evaluating how much it will cost to replace what you sold, YOU WILL REGRET!!!

I have been there, done that, bro. With a bike, no less. CBR1100 XX Blackbird. I could kill myself. The bike got old, the wife griped about it every day, and me getting killed on it. I had to hear about being a father, and my responsiblity to my kids, etc. I sold it, and bought the guns back for more than I sold them for. Hard lessons.

I made the mistake of selling two of my favorite guns: Both of them were S&W Revolvers: A stainless model 19 (.357) with wooden grips, a 2" bbl, and a model 29 (.44 mag), with a 4" barrel and also wooden grips. I have kicked myself almost every day for it since. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't need the money. I was out of work for almost a month and I was running a bit low, so I really had no choice. I damn near cried when I handed them over to the dealer. I could swear they were "looking" at me with incredulous disbelief, as if to say "how could you do this to us?" :::shudder::: Yeah, you'll regret it. |

At least my wife supports my guns obsession, and she supportes me Conceal Carrying. What more could a guy want? Red hair, large breasts, and loves to shoot with me. Life is good. Maybe when the kids gtet older, the wife and I will get an Old Wing, er I mean gold wing. LOL
