What 1911s do you own?
I wanted to see what 1911s everyone owns. I figured the best way would be to start a poll to keep an accurate, easy, running total. I thought it would be interesting to see which is the most popular 1911. I also thought it would be good informtion but I kinda forgot why. Mods I ask that you please leave this post here instead of moving it to the Poll forum. Members multiple voting has been enabled.

I don't own any 1911's because if I did, I'd never go to work. I'd only want to shoot all day every day.

Colt MK-IV Series 80 in 9mm- sentimental value as it was the very first pistol I paid for.
Springfield GI- Modded out digital camo, gunner grips, various and sundry parts and controls of high quality from Wilson Combat and Ed Brown. Probably the handgun I have the most fun shooting. Smith and Wesson stainless w/ laser grip- worst trigger of the bunch...still waiting for it to smooth out after some 1000 rounds through the pipe. Para Ordnance C 7-45 (which was not on your list above)- My carry 1911...the LDA trigger is a work of art...the smoothest trigger I have EVER had the pleasure of stroking. It is also a very accurate gun. Yes, I have an affinity for the 1911!

1953 Colt Govt Model (blued...and well worn)
1974 Colt Combat Commander (satin nickle finish) Springfield GI Stainless (bought 6 years ago) All three have various mods, mostly internal and to ensure a crisp triggerpull and reilability. Spring swaps, polished hammer sear engagements, Wilson extractors/ejectors, etc.). Old school...but they are all accurate and reliable. - Brickboy240
