Ahhhhhhhh no...not kidding.

My ex-cop Sig's DA pull is right at 10 pounds and smooth with no stacking. Anyone who can't shoot a setup like that well simply lacks basic trigger control skills. And since all the successive pulls are light, crisp, and short (the latter assuming one has the competence to allow the trigger forward only enough to reset between shots), it is a firearm that is easy to shoot quickly and accurately. I have a couple first place PPC and plate shoot trophies won using my Sig that attest to the P226's abilities.

The XD's trigger is better than the FN. Sig does have a nice SA trigger, but the DA trigger is VERY heavy and long, you don't really want that for competition. The above post is just ridiculous. The XD or FN will have one consistent pull no matter what. The SIG will have a DA and a different SA pull...that is not an advantage for comp, it's a disadvantage...d'oh

If you pulled out the Ruger during a competition, I believe you'd get laughed at so much you'd have to find a new class to compete in.

Before you call my post "ridiculous", how much PPC have you shot with revolvers? That's all DA out to 50 yards. Ever seen a falling plate or bowling pin match shot with revolvers? Ever seen Jerry Miculek shoot DA? Obviously, a long, "heavy" DA pull is not a detriment to fast and accurate competition shooting.

Saying otherwise is ridiculous...and ignorant.

go to range and shoot them all, if you can find them to rent. Must fit YOUR hand. It's like buying a car because everyone has it and then not having it fit YOUR body....but less expensive.

I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm saying that consistent pull to pull weight is better than a heavy first double action pull.

BTW, either you got lucky with your Sig or the action has been worked, because I weighed the trigger pull weight on about a dozen P226s and 228s at the department and exactly one had a DA pull of less than 12lbs.

I'm glad it works for you, but for me...I'll be sticking with my SA and striker fired pistols.

i finally got to the range with all of them. I even tried out a long barrel Glock with a ported slide. It was nice but out of all of them.

XD FTW

For some reason i absolutely hated the Sig. To me at least, the worst POS ive even touched in my life. Ive shot Taurus firearms that impressed me more. Now to be fair, its a 5 or so year old former State Trooper .40. But damn.
