Ammo issue

If you do get an AK, consider one in .223.

This my thoughts:

7.62x39 has been hart to get a times, and is mostly imported ammo. If something were to happen over seas for example, it may be hard to get.

.223 is a domestic product for the most part it is very plentiful.

Just some thoughts.

I have both an AR-15 and a AK-47.

Money is the key factor. AR if no object, AK if is an object.

Although .223 is domestic, most manufacturers would rather fulfill their military contracts. Making .223 more expensive and tough to get at times, as well.

Only solution. Buy both.

AR = Cool Factor

AK = History (i own the AK because it's such a piece of history)

If I were to choose right now between your 3 poll choices, I'd go with something else like a Sig 556 or wait a few months for the Magpul (that's what I"m doing with my tax refund)

Go AR, you can always get a new upper in a larger caliber and swap them out.
