not yet, I don't want to mess with the FFL fees so I'm going to drive down to his city in a few weeks when I have a free weekend and get it...I'll probably post some pics when I do...

with the gas prices being so high, you may be better off to just have it shipped to your FFL of choice. just a thought.

I say neither I prefer the s&w 640 hammerless plus you have the choice of .357 magnumn or .38 spl.

yeah it was a 442 actually and I'll post a range report right now...been a little busy and was fighting with my digital camera (i hit it really hard and now the screen works again, yay!)

I have had a 649 ( predecessor for the 638 ) for 12 years
carried with .38+p's It's my BUG. The top pic is my road trip case. Never leave home with out it! ![]()

It works out great here in Ohio. The lock box has a key to disengage the keypad, this still allows me to have to turn the mechanical latch to open the box keeping me within Ohio's asinine law but the box will lock if I want if I have to go into a no carry CPZ. I leave my MTAC XD holster on and just slip the gun in when I leave the car if I want that fire power. I can opt for the snubby in the pocket if the mood hits..
Being left handed makes for a odd setup for me. Drawing in a car from the the left is odd and unwieldy. The snub is in a right hand holster and I can carry it week side if I choose to in the car. It also works pretty darn good in the pocket to keep the snubby oriented for draw.
