I was called, showed up, waited about 2 hours and was told my services weren't needed. I was kinda looking forward to serving...

Dismissed once before being called, dismissed twice after being questioned, served once. And yes, we found the poor shmuck guilty of misdemeanor DUI.

Me too. The case seemed so interesting and the day was shot anyway so I stayed around for the trial, the first day. Did not go back for the finish the next day. My conclusion was that both "he" and "she" should be locked up and the key thrown away. I mentioned it to the defendants Lawyer during a break and he said, "I agree with you!" |

Called three times.
I'm self-employed so I don't have to serve.

Got the jury duty stuff 6 months before moving out of Minnesota. Didn't have to sit on any then. Moved to Louisiana and 2 years later got it again. Was on one Jury.
Don't look forward to do it again, but will do it if I get the note. hehe. Been back in Minnesota close to 11 years now and nothing since. Hope my luck holds. hehe |

I've been called twice.
The first was a woman suing an insurance company. She was in an accident and sued the guy that hit her. She was awarded $350,000. The guy's insurance was for $250,000. He was broke so she went after the insurance company for the other $100,000. When the judge asked if we had any questions about the case I said that the insurance company was not a party in the accident and had fulfilled it's contract for the $250,000, so why should they be liable for the other $100,000? I was let go. The other case started 1 week before my Guard AT and they couldn't guarantee that the case would be done in time, so I couldn't serve.
