Preferred AR operating system
A pretty simple question; I'm looking for people's preferences in AR gas systems--direct impingement (regular) or piston.

I am curently building my 1st AR right now, and it is "regular" style.
I however feel a gun should not "**** where it eats" The idea of venting gas into the the bolt face seems stupid The piston seems much more effective and reliable in the long run. |

I voted gas piston because the system appears to be more efficient and cleaner than the traditional. However, the cost is somewhat prohibitive in the rifles it is set up in now.
