I do. But they are 165gr .40S&W's. I also have a small box of 135gr low-recoil hydrashocks. They make good holes in people, and that's important to me.

Hydrashoks are no longer the most efficient at energy transfer. They don't expand as well as other similarly priced ammo and are not nearly as accurate as some of those other ammos. They are very poor performers in 9mm. They work best as the caliber goes up!

They may not be the most efficient, but they are effective, particularly in .40. I've had very good experience with them at the range with regards to accuracy. They work for me.

Efficiency in expansion is what makes hollow point ammunition effective. (see I can use the bold button too)

The difference in accuracy from most self-defense ammo is negligible and not a major concern. Besides what is gnat's eye accurate in one pistol might be crap in another.

In reality what SgtWKPII needs to do is go buy a box of each and figure out which one is most reliable then judge accuracy.

Well I definetely did not intend to start an argument and was certainly not trying to influence anyone's buying decision. I simply stated a fact in answer to your original question.

As for effectiveness and efficiency, you forgot to include placement in your equation. A well placed headshot, in an appropriate caliber (9 and 40 both included, among many others) will stop pretty much anybody, regardless of expansion.

Accuracy is not a big issue here, I can hold a tight group with any of the above ammo at 27 feet, which I have heard is the average range of a CCW encounter. Plus the EMP has so far held a great group with all ammo I have put through it for me at 25 yards.

How about expansion, I have heard that Speer has the most consistand expansion. Is that correct?
