No offense taken...well maybe just a little. JK.

I'll have to stand with my earlier statement. Ron Paul certainly is not the guy to lead us to where we need to go, although I do admire his character.

However, since this is just the primaries, this is truly the time to take that stand, in the hope that the eventual candidate will take a hint.

I have no doubt that should the Presidential race come down to Hillary vs. Rudy or any of the others....we'll fall on similar sides. This is assuming RP doesn't decide to go all Independent on us. In that case, I hope pragmatism will prevail.

It's interesting how the non-Ron Paul supporters resort to calling him names.

I was on the Ron Paul ship till he started sinking it. I like most all of his viewpoints but he has opened his mouth and stuck his foot inside. About the only other person I could vote for and who is not running is Dan Patrick

I think the reasoning is that if he were to be elected, it would be such a national statement that the politicians in congress would realize that if they didn't start to at least understand and respectfully debate his agenda they would soon be voted out and replaced by those who do.

Dr. Paul himself knows that there are very few places that he has the power to change policy on his own. He won't be able to end the IRS, the Department of Education, or (restrain) the CIA without widespread support of congress. What he CAN do is change foreign policy and the way we treat our fellow countries in this world.

If you read and listen to Dr. Paul, you will see that EVERYTHING hinges on foreign policy.

+1

His election would send a message to everyone: If you don't at least PRETEND that our rights matter, you suck and should go to hell.

Ron Paul can't _DO_ anything by himself. But he can also ensure that Congress can't DO anything either. By virtue of veto power, every time some bat**** crazy bill gets proposed he just says "HELL, NO" and they get to cry about it. . . because we all know Congress can't ever agree with itself long enough to bypass a veto.

... That's why we also gotta back him up with good Congresspeople. You know... the kind that aren't partyline retards.

+1 on Huckabee. Although I reserve the right to change my mind.

Ron has some great ideas, but I can't support him for President because some of his ideas are way too radical. I think he's in the position he's best at and he should stay there and stir the pot.
