Which Holster should I get? I have a crappy universal something that I have been wearing around the house getting use to carrying(doesnt really fit the XD at all. I should be receiving my CCW here soon and am looking to get a good IWB holster. If you have any better suggestions post them for me. Pics would help me out also. Thanks Guys!

I have a crossbreed super tuck and really enjoy it. It's quite comfortable whether I'm sitting or standing. Mark is a great guy and he has a 30 day money back guarantee. I also saw a recent post where his lead times are down to 2 weeks, so I really don't think you have anything to lose.

The Hume 715 is the best "value" leather IWB going IMHO. If it had a sweat shield it would rock for how much you can get the for.
I have one that fits my XD9SC and it blows the Galco Sto-N-Go away I think. I should add that the leather is NOT light weight as described, in my view. It's a pretty thick and stiff holster.

I have the Cross-breed supertuck for everyday carry and absolutely love it. I still think it's amazing how I can carry when I'm with friends or my girlfriend for an entire day without them even knowing that I have it on.

I haven't used any of those 3 holsters.
But having used similar holsters. 1. I hate the spring clips. At some point they will wear and you'll end up drawing your holster out with the gun. 2. The single attachment point to the rear of the holster in other brands has not been very stable for me. 3. The most stable holsters I've ever used have had 2 widely spaced belt attachment points like the cross breed uses. Given a choice of only those 3 holsters I'd pick #3. But I'd also consider a C-TAC or M-TAC from Comp-Tac or a Milt Sparks VM2.

Can someone tell me the difference between the Crossbreed IWB and their SuperTuck? The latter appears to be a "tuckable" holster, but what are the physical differences between the two?
Thanks, -- Sam |

I've used the Don Hume 715 daily since I bought it months ago. I like it quite a lot and will be sticking with it for one of my firearms no matter what (as it happens, it fits my Sigma nicely and keeps it tight to my side). However, I have looked at the UCH and almost bought one earlier today. I haven't because of the $$.
So, in my opinion, if you have to go inexpensive, you probably won't be disappointed for the $$ you'll spend on the Don Hume. It's a great holster. But, if you can go mid-grade, the UCH is probably your cup of tea. The kydex will stay open a touch better than the Hume. I will most likely upgrade to the UCH at some point, but don't HAVE to as the 715 meets my needs and conceals as well as most holsters. joe
