did a search and didnt find anything really on the subject but im still dreaming of a carbine that would take XD mags.i had a storm whitch i traded.it was a awsome gun but i dont like the berretta handguns and the trigger felt sloppy.i think it would be cool if they made one kinda on the same lines with a better trigger, cocked and loaded indicaters and the same grip as the XD pistol........id even pay a higher premiem for one....a boy can dream can he so who wants one??

The best chance would be to contact the makers of the Merrill carbine, It replaces the slide, right now they make them for the 1911 and Glock so it would probably be a simple mod to get one of the Glock top ends to work.

I may be the only "No" vote when all is said and done, but this doesn't really appeal to me at all.
Other than a .22 for plinking, I personally have never wanted a rifle that shoots handgun ammunition. I don't see anything wrong with it, it is just not for me.

I'd like to see a keltec sub2000 that takes XD mags personally.
I want a breakdown type 9mm carbine for the car and having one that took my carry mags would be a big plus. A standard regular carbine in 9mm like a storm? No. Why would anyone want a 9mm storm or a 9mm AR when there are Uzi's? Sorry, but there isn't a 9mm carbin eon the market that can hold a candle to a Model A or B Uzi carbine. I'd still buy one of the elcheapo keltec sub2000's if they came in XD mags... just because 'thats how I roll!' :lol

i might go for a cheapo rifle that accepts XD mags but it would still be nice for a full blooded springfeild model..i think id pay up to $750 for one..not anymore unless it had some uber coolness to it ..a grand would be my limit.

At a grand, I'm looking at 9mm AR's and long guns chambered in rifle cartridges (5.56/7.62) like an AR, 18" M1A, etc.

I wouldn't mind seeing them make one. But it's hard to beat what is out there right now. If they could mauf. an "upper" of sorts to go on the XD "lower" and keep the costs uner 250ish dollars I might buy one.
edit-but why would I spend big bucks on ANY carbine when I can get a HiPoint 995 for 200 bones brand new? They WOULD have to keep the costs low to appeal to me.
