How do you feel about women?

So I hang out on AR15.com a lot, using my husband's username. I mostly just lurk, and post an average of about once a week.

I've noticed that a ton of the posts are about women. Soooo many of the threads and posts really rip on the ladies. I generally have a pretty thick skin, and the posts don't get me worked up too much, but they leave me wondering if it is just that particular forum that has so many woman haters, or if it is a pretty good "breakdown" of the male population (i.e. most forums have about the same population breakdown of members, that one just has a lot more members than most forums). Does that make sense? I've never seen posts nearly as dramatic or disrespectful, etc... on this forum. Most of you seem like pretty decent sorts, or at least you possess more self control here.

There have been some threads here, that if they were posted "there" they would have gone a much different direction (the first thead that comes to mind is beitzel15's ex girlfriend thread). On the other hand, over there, the following references have been made:

-breastfeeding women are cows/sows/pigs/nasty saggy t*tties and shouldn't be out in public.
-all women are expected to remain at the same weight they were when the couple started dating. Childbirth is no exception. If you weigh more than 125 you are a fat cow and should be kicked to the curb. No man deserves to be saddled with that.
-stay at home wives (poor haus fraus) are substandard and have no idea how the real world works.
-if a wife isn't having sex with her husband at least 3 times a week, she is using it as a weapon and it gives said husband a right to fill his needs elsewhere.

Those are the examples that come to mind first. Most of these issues directly apply to me. I breastfeed. I weigh more than I did when I was 18 - 2 children/5 pregnancies will do that to a woman's body. I stay home and take care of my kids - can't afford not to. the sex issue really isn't a problem at the moment but there have been dry spells in the past due to pregnancy/childbirth.

So I'm starting a poll to try to get an idea of whether this is just an issue on that particular board, or if it has to do with demographics, or what. Please chime in, I am really curious! Please note, I really am posting this out of curiosity. Not because I feel offended or am pissed off or anything.

Thanks! Oh, and if you don't mind, can you post your general age (it doesn't have to be your exact age, just a range is fine). My theory is that a lot of people who post that crap are very young.

wow, that is some of the most degrating, ignorant molarky Ive ever heard in my life... how arent you mad? im mad after reading that.. My wife gave birth almost two years ago and hasnt lost what she gained. I still look at her, and love her the same.. man, id like to pass out a few back handed slaps to some ar15 members.. I think its an issue with that thread, sounds like a few young punks talking garbage. you wont get that nonsense on this highly professional thread of XD lovers.

Well, I am not trying to ki$$ butt, here, but I think the world of women.

I am 37 years old. Male.

Where do I start with your post?

#1. My wife is presently breastfeeding, and she is one very attractive mother at that. Most people would beg her to do it in public. However, she keeps it private. Breastfeeding is a fact of life. All three of my boys have been breast fed for at least the first 6 months of life.

#2. My wife is over 125 pounds and very sexy. I do not like anorexic women. Must be something about my upbringing. I have a different idea of healthy women, and they generally have meat on their bones. I guess I am lucky, my wife is an exercise fanatic. She is sexy even when she is pregnant.

#3. My wife is college educated(post grad) and works as an accountant for the government, as well as takes care of three boys and housekeeps. If she ever decided to stay at home, I would support her. More parents need to stay at home with their kids. That is the problem with society is lack of parenting and stay at home moms\dads. Motherhood is the most important\honorable profession on earth, as well as one of the hardest professions. Stay at home moms are rare, anymore,.and I love and respect them. (I was raised by two of them. My mother and grandmother, both of whom are heros in my mind)

#4 Most of the men making these comments are pigs that have tiny peckers and big saggy guts that are in no position to make demands of any woman.

#5. We need more women that shoot. Men will only eventually ruin our sport. Women will promote it in a positive light.

#6. I have never had any problem getting attention from my wife. Life is good. Even after 12 years.

Alright, I first must say that I wanted to check many answers up there.. haha.. jk!

I'm 28 and I have no problem with women. Can some women be you know what's? You betcha. But the same can be said about some men. It has to do with the person, not the sex of the person.

I have seen MANY men talk bad about women. A lot of men are downright pigs.

I also know from direct experience from quite a few people that I know of.. that when they sit and talk about their woman like she's just some object, like she's useless and they can't wait to get rid of her... the reason they feel that way about her is because they treat her like crap... and that all comes back on them in the way her attitude is, etc.

Quite a few guys will say that women are not welcome at their football watching parties. That they aren't welcome to go fishing with them. Things like that. They do not treat their women like they are their best friend. They treat them like they are just sex objects and need to do everything they can possibly do to please them. And you're right that a lot of guys think women need to stay a certain weight, or at least in decent shape. Who in their right mind doesn't want their significant other to look decent?

BUT... look at the vast majority of these men who demand their woman look better, that she lose weight, that she look like some fitness model. Most of them have guts. Some of them may be balding. Some of them may have gotten grey hair at a younger age. So what damn right do they have to even think that their woman needs to do more to look better? I know you can't fix bald or grey really.. but you can fix overweight. If you yourself can't seem to get yourself in shape and lose your gut... you've got no room complaining about the weight your woman has gained. Start exercising together with her if you want things better. You'll benefit both of you because you'll both get in shape. Otherwise keep your mouth shut.

Just remember that a lot of guys treat women like crap. They use them then get rid of them. Because of this attitude, I'm sure they haven't ever had a woman other than their mommy show any affection towards them. This leads them to be bitter and hateful. It's their own fault. But they choose to be miserable women hating loners... because they can't land a girlfriend or wife usually.

My fiance is my best friend. We do almost everything together. I can't understand why there are men out there who wouldn't want their woman around more often.

I love women and think there should be more done to free and empower women all over the globe. Women in this country really have no concept of what some other countries do to their women. Every time a woman here is insulted by some dude saying she is just a girl or she can't do it she's a woman, she needs to remember that this country gives her the right to try.

Just a few days ago there was a young Kurdish girl stoned for dating a man of another religion.

Im 38 and have 2 ex wives that I divorced. They had their flaws and I guess I didnt find them or notice them until after I was married. Thats more my fault than theirs though and I hold nothing against them, although my first wife and mother of my 2 kids is evil...lol. We were together for 10 years and we didnt alwas see eye to eye on things as we grew older.

My current wife is gorgeous, I love her to death and she is a wonderful mom, step-mom, and wife. We all have our flaws, most of us gain a few lbs over time and lord knows I have my fair share of them. As far as sex goes, I can probably count on my one hand ho many times Ive been told no in the past 8 years of being with her. Life is good on this side of the river!

I have....thus far....avoided AR-15.com for two reasons. First I don't own an AR-15 (id like to remedy that this summer). Second, from everyone I've spoken to it appears that there's alot of chest thumping going on there. This is a perfect example of such spewed, ill-informed, bravado.

On the points you listed above :

1) The health benefits of a woman breastfeeding a child far outweigh the "moral objection" some morons have to it being done in public. It's a completely natural piece of life. Also, this is America. As far as I'm concerned if someone is offended by it...tough cookies. If you don't want to see it, don't look. If you can't not look, well then you're a nosey busy-body and somebody should have laid you out on the pavement with a strong right hook a long time ago.

2) My wife and I have an understanding. She doesn't say anything about my weight and I don't say anything about hers. However, if either of us ever gets to a weight where the opposite member starts becoming physically unattracted we will bring it up and encourage the other to live a healthier lifestyle. I would love my wife whether she was 30 or 300 pounds but physical attraction and intimacy are important parts of the matrimonial art (and I'm slowly coming to the understanding that it IS an art).
That being said I don't like scrawny women. I'm not attracted to particularly heavy women either but I certainly don't buy the "runway model" type figure.

3) My mother was a stay at home mom until I was 10 years old. Thats when she went back to college. Of all the work she's done (she's a multiple award winning grade school teacher in Las Vegas, NV) parenting was her most amazing acheivement. Anyone who says that stay at home women don't have any concept of how the world works really has never seen this lifestyle for themself. My mother managed to balance the housework, parenting, juggling a budget, maintaining all of our extra-curricular activities, and still had time to take two boys in a sissified environment and turn them into men (of course my father helped as well). Note : This doesn't apply to the froo-froo stay at the mall all day wives who CLAIM to be stay at home wives, however these women can be spotted a mile away and if you're married to one that's your own darn fault you poor SOB *laughs*.

4) This is just infantile. What kind of attitude is ths "I can't have what I want so I'm going to go somewhere else." I can't believe that people like this consider themselves adult enough to be married. Lack of sex is no reason for indiscretion towards your wife (or husband for that matter!). If someone's not getting enough in the sack, maybe the problem is with them.
