Women are great, but I don't have a significant other yet.

They're the perfect counterpart for men and the presence of a good woman can complete a man.

I voted #2 and I just became 57. Married for almost 26yrs.

I agree with all of the comments about those idiots on the Ar15 site. That is no way to treat a woman.

Well, I'm 21 male.

I was raised by my mother (not to long ago) and just yesterday actually I called her just to tell her thanks for being a great mom. She was stay at home and my dad was in the Air Force for most of my life. Around my teens, I want to say 15 or 16, he started cross country hauling in 18 wheelers. My mother raised me with the dignity and respect for women that every woman seems to desire, but not want to commit to. I don't understand that one. Anyways, I have literally driven 300 plus miles round trip to... err.... "educate" men on treating a woman. I.E. abuse, insults, behavior. I tend to keep out of trouble though, thanks to my mommy! I never understood why a man would have to speak so negatively of women, although my recent experiences with these types of guys taught me that it is lack of self-esteem. They want a supermodel girlfriend/wife but are so scared of her moving on to something better that they lock the woman in the house and/or degrade them in order to make them think that they can't have anything better. A woman is possibly the most beautiful creation on God's green Earth, except the Colorado mountains during the early spring on a full moon night. No matter the size or stature of a woman, there is always something beautiful about them.

The other thing that most men look at is physical beauty and no personality. That's my 2 cents.

women are the most beautiful and greatest creation God put on this earth, and the best part, he put them here because men have a need for them. I'm not dependent, but i'll tell you, I need my wife. She's my completor, not my competitor. If I can recommend a great book on why guys are made the way they are and why we think the way we do, it's called "wild at heart" by John Eldregde.

One of the best pieces of advice I've ever heard for single people is to get a piece of paper or two and write down a list of 50 qualities and characteristics of why you want in your significant other. for one thing, it helps from letting you "settle" for someone. it's interesting to see when that person comes along that meets what's on your list.

I'm 38, never been married, no kids. Some women see me as a confirmed bachelor, however, they would be wrong. My parents have been happily (usually) married for nearly 40 years and were great role models. Most of my closest friends are females as I prefer more substantive interaction than many men prefer (I'm not a sports fan and with the psychology background I would rather analyze human behavior than discuss the box scores from last week's game). I have the upmost respect for women and womanhood. My lament is that women over the last 30 years have abdicated their moral high ground in our society that, IMO, maintained the consiousness of our country for the first 200 years. With that abdication, I find that women tend to be more flighty and self-involved than those of an older generation. Too much me and not enough we which is why I am still single. While many women today frustrate me, my respect for them remains.

for starters... I'll be 26 in August.

I am going to be engaged shortly to my girlfriend of over 1 year.

I help with dinner, wash dishes do my part around the house.
My girlfriend/best friend... is my equal...
If by chance I want to sit around and watch baseball and drink beer she is ok with that she will typically find something else to do. She does sometimes suprise me with Astros tickets
She shoots with me and brings her own gun...
And if I want to go off alone or spend some time with the guys she leaves me to my own devices without so much as a single complaint.

I just hope she stays the same after we get married

Vengence isn't a valid motive. Revenge is a emotional response. No, not vengence. Punishment. Sic vis pacem Parabellum.

Big words..... abdi-some-or-other..... I think I get it though. And I'm sorry, but I still side with the rockies being most beautiful thing. Don't have a significant other either, and opinions can change.

Ditto. I'd probably add to that women drivers in minivans...

Guys who normally say those things (as listed in post #1) can only get it by paying for it and thus aren't exactly 'non-biased'

Seriously have you seen some of the pics of those arfcom'ers? 4'10" 250 pounds... talk about pots calling the kettles black, some of them need bras for thier man-boobs

Blow it off and don't worry about it.
