I voted for the Kimber. I don't have the II version, but I have 3 of the regular old compact. All of them have performed perfectly, and I use one of them for regular carry, my wife another one.

All too much money for me. Do $600+ guns throw bullets any better than the 'cheap' ones?? I'd get Rock Island....

Check out the Para Ordnance LDA models!
That LDA trigger is something dreams are made of!
I regularly carry a Para C7-45 IWB and it is a great gun.

I'd get anything other than a SA 1911. But I voted for the Kimber.

Yes, as a matter of fact, they usually do! Quality is not cheap. The best is never the cheapest. I have some expensive guns, $1,200 + and some inexpensive (read that as cheap) guns.. In every case the expensive ones are:

A. More reliable
B. More accurate
C. More consistent with respect to ammo used
D. Of visibly better quality, ie. bore and exterior finish and of tighter tolerances..
