The good thing about pot is that there is not hangover!

and I don't know anyone who lost their temper, beat up their wife, etc. because they were high like people can do when they have been drinking.

Marijuana Grows much easier than Tobbaco, and I mean much easier... Almost any climate or location.While the goverment would make money it would not take Marijuana Users long to turn a Crop out of their backyard, or even closet.

good point.. drunk driving kills hundreds if not thousands a year...
you never really hear of an accident due to driver being stoned...
WHEN i smoked, it made me concentrate more, maybe cause Iwas more paranoid. Domestic disturbances often start from pure drunkness... usually when you spark a doob, people are lax, and just want to have a good time.

I'm actually abstaining from voting since I didn't put a third option. I'd like to say that I'd have the integrity to shy away from it if it were legal, but to tell the truth I'm not sure if I would.

It fits in with the whole legislating against our own human nature category.

But you have to wonder. Habitual alcoholics can have a BAC/BAL that is above the legal limit and act completely normal, so I can only assume habitual smokers can do the same.

Plus it's not as easy to test for presence of a controlled substance at a scene of an accident as it is BAC. What would they say, "Can you pee in this cup? We'll send it over to the hospital post haste."

I've seen a few car accidents that were directly related to intoxication from Marijuana.

I see your point, and retract my statement. However stand firm on the domestic violence, or any voilence for that matter. MArijuana has the adverse effect then alcohol

I agree with you krackels....I think the majority of people that would smoke if it were legal, are already smoking now. I don't think too many people would jump on the bandwagon just because it became legal.
