Good replies for the poll. I was going to make jokes about being weak but I now think differently. Arthritis sucks! Hand injuries suck!!

After some practice..I can save a little time and wear on the thumb by useing the loader. The XD gear loader works for my Cougar mags as well.

I find that they do work best breaking in new mags.

I use it when I'm shooting IPSC and IDPA. After a while, I just can't stuff that last round into the mag without some kind of pain.

Tried this first time out, 500 down range, don't think I'd have made it without the loader.

On a side note, I have two 10rnd and two 16rnd magazines, and the 10 rnd mag's seem harder to load the last round in than the 16's

I USUALLY don't start off using it, but always end up using it. After 200 rounds or so, my thumb gets sore.

Mine didn't come with one when I purchased it. All thumbs, but I've used a friends and it works alright. Since I've never had one I'm sure I'll just stick with nature's opposable mag loaders.

I dont shoot much more than 3 boxes of ammo at a time so I just load by hand. I was looking into getting a HKS loader when I first got my gun but now that I've done it and am used to it I dont think I'll get one unless something happens to me physically.

My hands tend to sweat a lot. So after having a mag slip and slicing open a thumb multiple times, I use the loader all the time, unless I'm only loading 4 or 5 rounds for some reason. It gets the job done for me.

That's when I use mine because I'll shoot 25-35 magazines at a time. once you get into a cycle with the reloader it goes really fast and smooth.
