Need a pocketgun...help

As the title implies, no riddle here. I am between a .38 revolver and a Keltec .32 or .380. If you lean towards the Keltec on this poll please elucidate which caliber and why. I personally like the .380 over the .32, but I don't know how much felt recoil exists with the .380. Also, if you suggest something else, please share. I am also considering Kahr's also, so if you have experience chime in!

Grazie!

Im a revolver man. I own a Smith Wesson 637 (airweight with exposed hammer) and I think they are great guns.

I'd find a nice 5 shot in .357 That way you get the .38/.357 flexibility.

I would go with a Kaltec 380. Not much recoil at all. But after what Trace has said I may re-visit that thinking.

Well you know I am partial to my Taurus 605 in .357

Small, light and power!

Did see a beautiful S&W Airweight .38sp+p today about 425.00

I noticed that the grip on the 637 is a little smaller than my Taurus. Otherwise I like the weight of it.

I just bought one in OD green! Great little pistol...the 380 has a little bit more power than the 32 so why not go for the bigger of the two? As long as you have some shooting experience and a firm grip you wont have a problem with the recoil.

Do, however, watch out for what is known as "peening"...that is when the guide rod hole is battered by the recoil of the spring and gradually gets wider until finally the recoil spring shoots out the front of the gun!

This problem seems to only happen with the newer manf. guns (the J++++ serial # guns) anything before that seems to be quite reliable after a nice cleaning and 200-300 round break in.

remember that KelTec has a lifetime warranty and from what I have read over at KTOG.org (great sitre check it out) kel Tec goes out of their way to fix or replace ANY problem with their products...

Overall, great little gun...as far as power to size/weight ratio nothing even comes close....most guns they make are perfectly reliable....but there is a possibility that your gun may need a trip Florida to make it 100%.......My brand new (only 2 days old) Kel Tec is quickly becoming my favorite! Goodluck

Which is why I don't endorse ANY KelTec pistols. Granted, its got the warranty, but any good gun wouldn't do this.
