Should I trade?

I may have a solid offer with an aquaintance to trade my XD9Sub with a Fist holster and 4 mags for a like new in the box Ruger GP100 stainless .357. I dont carry the sub much anymore and I miss having a .357 around... Oh the trials of gun ownership...lol

Should I trade or should I keep

The obvious answer is to keep the sub and buy the Ruger. If that is really not an option I would get the Ruger. If you are not using the sub then it needs a new home.

Agree, agin with Slugger6, if you're not vested with the sub and would rather have the Ruger...get the Ruger. I have a GP100 and its great. Of course, I'm also a revolver fan.

I used to refuse to do any trading and kept aquiring new guns. Lately I have been sinking alot of money into the new 1911 I just picked up, my motorcycle, taking my wife on a buisness trip with me last week, case feeder for my Dillon, the shotty build... Momma is starting to roll her eyes more and more. I figured if the sub isnt getting alot of love then maybe I ought to seriously consider this trade. I initiated it because I miss having a .357 around. What I would do with it, I dunno, its not all that practical to carry and its too short to hunt with. I thought maybe use it for a woods gun but I have 2 Sigs and my new 1911 that would serve that purpose. It shouldnt be THAT hard of a decision

I know your wife, and while her personality is quite understanding, there's a limit (as I'm sure you know). If you MUST have the 357 NOW trade it. Otherwise wait and pick something up later that would have more of a role than just filling a caliber void in your life.

If you have a gun you're not shooting that holds no sentimental value I see not problem in getting rid of it. Guns that you don't shoot are simply bad investiments sitting in the same keeping your money from being liquid.

Trade it. If you're not using it there's no point in keeping it sitting around.

Besides, you'll love the Ruger...My 2 .357 magnums (S&W 686 and Ruger New Vaquero) are the two guns that I can honestly say I don't think I would EVER get rid of, no matter the price.

Ok, I guess I will trade it off. I was able to justify owning the .357 by figuring that I can use it to get my Revolver classification in USPSA .

Hey Tony, that limit has not been voiced other than, "ANOTHER GUN"?
She has come to understand my addiction but I dont want her to cure it with a ball bat across my head in the middle of the night...lol

Well I traded off the little XDsub9 today for the Ruger GP100. It has a small ding in the bottom of the rear sight but no biggie. The gun has had less than 100 rounds through it. Heres a pic of the same model, just a pic form the web though. Ill et you all know how it shoots in a few days, thanks for talkin me into it.

Whew! Pretty! *whistles*

If you ever make it to Reno, NV we'll have to have a good ol' Revolver shoot out.
