Poll: Stock vs. Trigger Job
I have read many posts here by those of you who have opted to have a trigger job done on your XD. I am curious how many of you are shooting your XD's completely stock (regarding the trigger/action).

Stock for now. When I pick up the money for a dedicated carry piece, then I'll spring for the trigger job.
Only thing my XD is going to get until then is a set of TFO's.

Just a personel opinion: My service weapon is just that a service weapon. All iit is meant do is provide a last line of defense. It does that Stock with NO problem at all. If it were a range baby or a hot rod pistol. I would definately get a trigger job. But not on my carry weapon. Not there is anything wrong with a carry hotrod! LOL
Only a DGR & #22 spring on mine.

Trigger job.
If I get another XD, I'll try the drop in sear for a good minimal cost trigger modification.

I do plan on a carry job. Even in the army I would dump clp all over the trigger area to minimize friction before qualifying. Maybe all mental, but it worked.

A good 4-5 pound "carry" trigger job performed by a competent gunsmith, e.g., Canyon Creek, Springer or SA provides the best of both possible worlds - a more enjoyable and accurate range gun (less trigger movement = better accuracy, all things being equal), and a very reliable and safe carry/home defense weapon. For a hundred bucks give it or take, it's money well spent. You'll spend a lot more on less.
No need to rush to have it done though. Familiarize yourself with your gun and practice, practice, practice. There is no substitute for the latter in terms of becoming proficient.
