Can I ask what purpose it will serve? Fun shooter or concealed carry?

I don't want to piss on your shoes sir, but I would suggest something else. My experiences with them are far below satisfactory.

I just want to be honest and forthcoming. My intentions are not to offend you sir.

Unless he's just going for the flat-out cool factor. In that case, I guess you'd go full sized DE.

the cool factor with a DE is a given! guy at my range has a full size .50 and everytime a newbie comes in and he's shooting you have to squeegee the floor cause of the drool

If I were to get a DESERT EAGLE, It would be the .50 FULL SIZED.

Have you considered a Steyr? Those are moderately priced, and have somewhat of a following that is growing. Just a thought.
