When does human life begin?

I'm interested in seeing if there is a steady concensus about the nature of life amongst gun owners.

If you cannot discuss this topic civilly please only vote and do not post.

I'd like to keep this thread running and give as many people as possible the opportunity to vote.

More questions will probably come later this week.

Thank you.

Conception.

Two living cells (sperm and egg) come together and create a new cell. Life hasn't begun, it has continued.

This should be pretty dang interesting! I have an extensive science background but I am going to reserve my opinion.

The moment the first cell splits into two cells is the moment of life. God may or may not have something to do with it but the process has started and will not stop until acted upon by an outside force. Whether that force is the mother not being physically able to carry the child or the pregnancy has been terminated in an other than natural way is irrelevant. Women decide what to do with there own bodies, however a married woman must consider the beliefs and desires of her partner before she makes a rash decision. There is no place for selfishness in a marriage.

Fun answer: The moment it can inherit Anna Nichole's fortune.

Legal Answer: At birth, or more specifically when it can survive outside the womb.

Philisophical Answer: It never "begins" because it never "ends". It just moves from one container to the next.

Hard to say, maybe it is when the sperm cell enters the egg and begins to get into your wallet.... The government says no tax deduction until it's born.

What came first, the chicken or the egg? I say the egg because I had that for breakfast, had the chicken for lunch.

For me, my life will begin when my kids leave home...

For them, I'd go with the survival outside the womb viewpoint.
