Do any of you think that the drastic change in the numbers of people using the internet to gather information in thirteen years since the last ban will have an effect on the current ban proposals?

anti gun people look up anti gun stuff.. pro gun people look up pro gun stuff.. except for maybe the guy who wrote the gun fact book.. He looked up everything. (i know it's been posted many times, but I just read it and it's great. http://www.gunfacts.info)

Honestly I think it makes a big difference in favor of guns. look at how much info we can share back and forth, how quickly we can share news articles and such.

Every day, we read about anti-gun stuff going on. We read about a person who defended themself with a gun. we get to hear about the issues immediately so we can stay on top of things.

Every single day I go to http://www.nranews.com and http://www.keepandbeararms.com to see what is new for the day. The more that I know about people using guns to defend theirself, cities, and anti-gun groups trying to get rid of our guns.. the better informed I am to speak my mind to people I talk with. I can educate them on issues, that I NEVER really had access to before, without the internet.

Remember, it is easier to prove the truth.. than it is to prove a lie. When you can show facts to someone, it works. It works MUCH BETTER than just trying to say... "guns kill 30,000 people a year" blah blah. Oh yeah? Ok.. so how many of those 30,000 each year are killed with justifiable force used against them for them comitting a crime? How many are killed by cops? How many by suicide? Now lets end up with a much lower number for the actual murder comitted.

When you can show people things like that, they start to see that all the gun deaths are NOT murders like the gun control groups would like you to believe.

I think it's a positive because it helps us organize. Within hours of any new legislation being introduced it's all over the boards. So we can respond better to new threats to our freedoms.

I feel that our government will do whatever it pleases concerning an awb whether we like it, fight it or not. Now I for one am trying to do as much as I possibly can to fight it and email/mail letters to my reps. but in the end I am not sure what effect it will have on them if any.

I voted negative becuase a lot of people read there news now on the internet and as we all know the media always seems to be anti gun. Also becuase of the ease of email, I feel politicians don't pay much mind to emails they recieve.
