Recent feedback for Canyon Creek or Springer Precision on Trigger work
I've been reading on the forums, and these two shops are highly recommended. I wanted to see how many people went with each, as well as any feedback (good or bad) Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum. You sure aren't starting out on a good foot. If you have read the forum there are MANY posts about each of these fine gunsmiths. You will not go wrong with whomever you chose. I just don't see the point of haveing a "my smith is better than" poll or ANOTHER thread on the subject.

I don't mean any disrespect to either gun smith. I guess I chose the wrong set of words to get my point across. I was just looking for more recent feedback on the work that both these smith's have done. Sorry for any confusion.

Both of them do top notch work.
I've yet to hear of ANYONE being dissatisfied with their work.

FWIW, I own XD's with triggers from both. I prefer the CC, but that may well be because I had it first and had been shooting it for some time prior to shooting the Springer.

I'll try. Bear in mind this is based solely on my guns (1 CC, 2 Springers) and not a wider sample. I've also only shot the Springers 3x since getting 'em back. Additionally, these are all "carry" jobs, so the differences between the competition triggers may be less significant.
CC's takeup is shorter, as is the reset. Break is is as crisp as Elvis' bacon.
Springer job was a marked improvement over stock, but since I had been shooting with the CC for several months, shooting the Springer didn't give me the "holy sh*t!!" feel that shooting the CC for the first time did.
By comparison, it felt somewhat mushy and long to me; that said, a local friend had his XD done with a Springer carry job and was delighted with the improvement over stock trigger. Unfortunately, I didn't get together with him to shoot his before sending mine.
It could well be a "personal preference" thang. No disrespect to Springer intended, as his carry trigger job is an improvement over stock and is somewhat less expensive (and is reversible). I just prefer the CC.
