Wow. What state are you in? I thought no matter where you were if you were carrying an illegal weapon you'd never get a gun again, let alone a CCW.

It's hard to say...

In a worst case scenario... I think you'd have to weigh whether you'd rather be dead or be arrested for breaking a law.

All that being said, I was amazed that a former coworker told me that she used to carry a pistol in her purse. I know that she didn't get a permit.

I spent 6 years at NJIT which is in Newark. Corner of MLK and Central is where I lived. In that time, we've had bullets embedded in the brick of our fraternity house, crack vials strewn about our sidewalk like rock salt in the winter, and every night the window fairies go up and down each street, taking the windows closest to the sidewalk and leaving sparkling green pixie dust on the seats and floor of each car they visit.

Eff Newark.

I wouldn't suggest anybody purposefully break the law by carrying, but geez, it's Newark, at least consider moving.

No one's moving there, just working there.

Btw, I dont think I'll be carrying anyway. I found out that theres a parking garage right at the place where I'll be working so I should be good.

Also whats green pixie dust?

Didn't your daddy ever tell you not to bring a knife to a gun fight?
Just kidding brother. The only benifit of living in CA is the liberal knife law created by 653k of the Penal Code. Of course, a knife is weak substitute for a gun, but it's better than nothing! (I have a couple of 5" bladed folders myself which get regular carry time).

I just want to thank everyone for participating in the poll. I've decided not to carry. Really no need ATM. I park in a garage across from the place where I work and as long as I'm outta there before sundown I dont see anything happening.
