I do most of my shooting at my hunting camp where I have a informal (but safe) handgun range. For rifles I'm a member at our local conservation club which has a 300 yard range and a years membership is ten whole dollars. Sometimes it pays to live out in the sticks.

The $180 has paid for itself 2 times over and the $225 is somewhat new. i've been there about 7 times in the last 2 months 5 of which i paid $14 each time. At that rate, it made sense.

annuals are the way to go if you plan on shooting at least twice a month.

how often do you go? i go twice a week and spend at least 1.5 hours there each time. for me, it was easy math.
I wish I could get to the range more often. Either the indoor range or NRA range are about 30 - 45 minute drive one way. The closest range is state run and a joke. You have to pay a park fee plus range fees.

My Gun Club charges $45 per year. We only have outdoor ranges, but it is members and their guests only. So you don't have to pay and you can use it when you want. Not at all hours of the day ie. can't shoot before 8am mon-sat, before 9 or 10am sunday and certain holidays. So it was totally worth it for me since the nearest indoor range is about an hour away ( and there hours are the same ). Plus the indoor range charges $200 bucks per year and you only shoot for free 2 days a week.

I pay $200/yr to shoot at my gun range. It's a family membership, but since I'm single and my family lives in KS, that doesn't help me out much. They allow members to shoot from 8:00am-10:00pm (public can only shoot until 6:00pm), provide free targets, and ear / eye protection.

I don't pay now because of an agreement with my school and the range. The rangge owner let's students from my university use the range without paying range fees since our gun club pays him a yearly fee for use of the facilities. I think he may give the other local colleges a break on range fees for the year (like $5 or something), but I'm not positive.

Once we graduate, we pay the yearly range fee. It's a great system.

Range memberships are so expensive around here.

I think next year I'll get a membership to a rifle range that's about an hour from my house (it's a steal at <$40/year) and maybe a membership to a local indoor range (not so much of a steal at $200/year).

Family and a guest or two for $35 a year for the first 5 years then $18 per year.

I have just paid for my 5th year.

It is an outdoor range and you let yourself in. Shooting is from sun rise to sun set.

$300 a year here for one and two people its $350, if you just walk in its $10/half hour. I did not renew this year becuase I am hopefully moving to PA in the next couple of months and there are a few public-free ranges as well as a ton more well priced indoor ranges.
