I carry 9 rounds + 1 of fedral hydro schock while conceal carrying and FMJ ball in the 11 round extended mag for back up! If you neeed more than 9 +1 in a gun fight, why bother spending a buck a round!

Oh don't sweat it. I have been carrying my Kahr P45 of late and it has 230gr Gold Dots in it. My Kahr PM40 has CorBon 135gr JHPs in it. I am thinking I want the best for the smaller the gun. I was thinking of going to some 185 Golden Sabers or HST for my P45. A lot of Old-Timers out here like to carry Ball ammo. They say it is for heavy clothing but i just don't see it.

Agreed. You're not shooting a .22. When I carry my 9mm 1911 I load up with 124 JHPs as well.

Now if we pick up the 686 this weekend I don't think I will need to worry about what I shoot through that bad boy. .357 anything will get the job done if placed in an appropriate location.
