God may know where you are.
If you don't tell dispatch where you are, you better be on speaking terms with God.

Yup I have one. No SLA for when you get a response though but got the discount for home owners insurance and the wife/kids feel safer while home.

No, I don't live in a high risk area, though it wouldn't be a bad idea to get one at a later time.

Have one. Neighbors think I'm paranoid, but you know, it will alert me if someone trying to come in! Police would be here in 5 minutes or less.

I also have a little dog who is a great alarm - more for alerting me. She wouldn't scare away any BGs, only little kids.

Our local PD recently decided that they would no longer respond to Security systems. Which makes monitoring kinda worthless.
But I still have the company monitoring, at least for now.
Anyways, the earsplitting siren will probably scare them off. If it doesn't, I at least had a chance to wake up and grab a weapon.
