The right to self defense should not be seen as an American right, it should be seen as a universal right afforded to all individuals worldwide.

Last I knew it was.
The Amendments
The Constitution has undergone gradual alteration with the growth of the country. Some of the 26 amendments were brought on by Supreme Court decisions. However, the first 10 amendments, which constitute the Bill of Rights, were added within two years of the signing of the federal Constitution in order to ensure sufficient guarantees of individual liberties. The Bill of Rights applied only to the federal government. But since the passage of the Fourteenth Amendment (186 , many of the guarantees contained in the Bill of Rights have been extended to the states through the "due process" clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

Recently me and the Wife have been getting a little worried about new laws/bans and she just took out a new student loan last week so I could buy a new $1,200 AR, just got it Fri.
Anyway we both agree that if it does get that bad that then America is not the Country that me and most of our relatives deployed and fought for, so all bets are off. We don't need to governmant to take away our weapons to make us "safer".
Cold Dead Hands, that is the only way we are giving them up!

Call me unamerican but if I had the means of escaping once this tyranical government took power, I think I'd get out. Unless there still is no better place to go, then I would fight it out along side my brothers in arms.

Hopefully there would be enough true Americans to fight back.

i think if that was to happen, the 2nd Revolution would start all on its own.

I'm sure prior to this it would be made a felony to not be able to account for guns that they have information about you owning.
I'd hate to have to shoot my fellow countrymen as well, and would just hope that the military would not follow orders.
However, with propoganda, I'm sure that many could be brainwashed to think that the gun owners are evil people that are contributing to "bad situations" about their area.

I think if our country ever reaches that point it'll be time for a regime change.
Chances are the gun confiscations will be only one of many symptoms of our country becoming the next Soviet Union, PR of China, or host for the next genocide.
