I have my xd9SC on my nightstand and my "tacticool" mossberg 500 leaning in between the nightstand and bed. I have my 357 in my computer room locked in a cabinet. I would not use a 45 in my house, because of the way it is set up. I have neighbors all around me and I'm afraid of a stray bullet hitting one of them. The nine hydrashok won't over penatrate and the shotty is loaded with 2 "less lethal" rounds first and then it gets into the heavy stuff all the way to buckshot. My wifes side of the bed has her p22 and the mossy HS410.
TOTP by the way.....
