Nope. Gimme a zippy little gas-sipper any day of the week. I fly by dozens of you guys on my way to work every day.

Now don't get me wrong. My mom has a Toyota that's quite nice to drive. Nice stereo, Comfy, powerful, I do like driving it, but I don't need to be as careful flying around corners with my 'lil-bastard hatchback.

And then there's the gas. I can redline every gear in my car and floor the gas every chance I get and STILL score 30+ mpg.

And before you truckers start calling me a reckless lil POS, keep in mind that I'd much rather drive a nimble car that can avoid accidents than drive a big ole boat that is "safe when you crash."

Oh, and you'd be surprised how much crap I can haul with my hatchback...

I can put your hatchback in the bed of my truck and still pull a 10,000 lb. trailer.

Mine gets about 11 MPG which is actually, well who am I kidding, it sucks. It actually rides pretty good and is comfortable as just about anything on the road with the LS trim.

As a father of 3 young'ns, I have a minivan. I tried to put them all in the backseat area of my most recent car, but that was a real PITA (and back), so I got another minivan. It also works great for moving large stuff around... so it's like a pickup, but w/ a roof!

and +1 to a hatchback. I had a 1991 Mercury Tracer HB as my 2nd car ... awesome little car and I could fit a whole large drafting table in the back! And it was like a tank in the snow/ice of Lancaster County, PA.
