Pick your .45 ACP

I asked this on another forum and will give it a go here as well - opinions on full size .45 ACP pistols:

1911
Glock 21
Springfield XDm
Other semi-auto (please give your answer below)

Assume a budget below $700, so no offering up extreme custom Les Baer 1911's or some several thousand dollar pistol. Thanks for participating!

I am completely obsessed with the 1911. Within 6 months of owning my first one I had already bought another and started reloading so I could shoot it more.

But if were talking specifically for the range, 1911 all day.

I did not include the G30 because I'm specifically looking for opinions on full size .45's. Otherwise this would be a poll between G30, XDs, G36 and maybe a 1911 Officer.

If Carl doesn't come back and admit he was looking for the Kriss button, his credibility is ruined forever.
