I had never considered using the ignore button until today. Some bozo who shall remain nameless has started a 10 page whinefest elsewhere in this forum. So I think I'll test out the ignore button later tonight, just to make sure it works.

I'm assuming you're talking about the ignore list for XDtalk. If so, I don't have anyone in there. I value everyone's opinions too much to put anyone in "the list."

Now, as far as online chat programs, I do have a few people on my list in Yahoo (the only one I actually use). Because some people are just too freakin' annoying or ignorant to NOT put on "ignore"!

But there's a big difference between the random Yahoo messages from some fool who constantly swears or asks dumb questions and friendly honorable XDtalk members posting to threads.

I'd be happy if I could just put he politics sub forum on my ignore list so that when I click the {New Post} button at the top none of the politics thread would come up.
