Decisions decisions...on 454 Casull.
Have been wanting an 454 casull for quite some time and it just so happens a friend of mine has the EXACT one that i want that was just purchased brand new in July of 2012.
It is a Ruger alaskan.
Now that i have been looking harder i also see that Taurus makes an Raging judge which obviously will then shoot .410's
I am sure that the Ruger will be a much better built gun but it would be nice to be able to shoot 410's also.
What do you guys think?
Opinions please.
Thanks.

Taurus make real nice revolvers. I love my .357. but if i had the choice between that and the Ruger, i'd choose the Ruger without a second thought.

You want the Ruger. Don't get a damn gimmick gun, get a dedicated, well built big bore revolver.

I would go with the Ruger. Don't by the snubby though. It will beat your hand to death.

Shot a buddy's Alaskan last month. That snubbie is snappy to say the least. You'll want to check your local laws regarding .410 revolvers, here in the People's Republik, they are considered short barrelled shotguns.
If it was me, I'd go with the original...Freedom Arms!
