Need some help guys. I want to get the 45acp Tactical and need to decide on a color. I had it set in my mind that my collection of XD's was going to be all black however, now that they came out with this color, I'm not to sure.

Help me decide. I'll base my purchase on the poll.

I think it's fugly, but no doubt some will like it because everyone's tastes are not the same.

you might be right, i remember liking the OD when i first saw it but know I would never get it. Maybe the better question is who's bought an OD and wouldn't trade it for a black.

I think my next XD will be a 9mm and the color will be ... drum roll - OD.

Ever since Polymer Guns came out with this option I thought I would get one.

My XD45ACP is black but might have been OD if that was the one in the case. This is my first dip into "Combat Tuperware" and now will not be my last. That is a certainity.

Black for me... I just can't justify the extra $100 I am seeing for a color change.

Why did you want your collection to be all black? Was there some driving reason behind this? I guess you'll have to ask yourself if you still want to keep them all black, or if you want to branch out to other colors. It's your collection, so you should base your decision on what you want your collection to have in it.

Personally, I don't like the OD green at all. That tan is ok looking, but I'll stick w/ all black XDs for my collection (although my fiancee's blue/silver/black XD looks quite sharp).

It's not that I don't want to help you w/ your decision by giving my opinion, but it should boil down to what YOU want in YOUR collection, and what your collection's color rules are.

Maybe I'm too conservative, but I wouldn't own anything other than black, blued or stainless. If someone else wants one, more power to them. It's just not for me. Although I would have one coated yellow with pink polka dots if that's what it took to get my wife and girls to shoot.

i think you should go black first, then if you care to have a different color you can always refinish it later.

Maybe with a stainless slide, but definately not with the black. All tan would be nice, as seen in the photos section (sorry forgot the owner).

I'll second the fugly tan/black, sorry. But we are not the ones that have to like it, if it looks good to you and it's what you want, do like Larry the Cable Guy says: "Git 'R Done"!!
