Do you carry C&L? If so, why? If no, why not?

I don't think this terminology applies to the XD. I do carry with a round chambered.

Maybe I'm wrong.

I carry with the chamber loaded on my XD, but there's really no "Locked" involved.

I also carry my 1911 "Cocked and Locked" when it's the gun being carried.

When I carry my XD it's with a round chambered.

Back when I carried 1911's it was cocked and locked.

Nowadays I mostly carry Glocks, with a round chambered.

I carry with a round chambered. A gun is pretty useless if its not loaded because you won't have time to chamber a round if you really need it. Might as well carry a rock instead.

All 3 different guns I carry, I carry with one in the chamber. Just like gsh341 said, you might as well have a rock in a real pinch.

I carry loaded and chambered; the only time I change is when I am at the range.

Always loaded with one in the pipe....except for when changing mags at the range and cleaning!

Taint nuthin worse than a gun what aint ready to use!

CZ97B cocked and locked.

finger is the most powerfull safety of all...always carry your gun loaded and ready to fire..

.....HS2000 PORTED always cocked...So there`s no need to carry that rock
