Pat, may I inquire as to where you acquired the pics on the handgun rounds. They look exactly like they came from Dr. Gary Roberts on the tacticalforums.com site. Excellent source of information, I might add.

He recommends obtaining a robust handgun round, use a good weapon platform and practice, practice, practice. He also has noted they are what you use until you can get to a rifle or shotgun IIRC for the reasons you stated.

Just wondering.

i'd take the shotgun in close range and the ar-15 if they're at a bit of a distance.

actually, if i had my cake and i could eat it too, i'd take the minigun.

Talking Ar/m4

Got to go with my M4, there's just something about having more rounds than you need!! Even with a thirty round mag that will give you three rounds in each BG plus six left over just in case. ** As an aside I really like my AK's too, just there is something about drop free mags and slide locks that for some reason makes my reload time a lot faster!!

I voted for the AR, but if I had a Drum magazine for my 12g, that's the weapon I'd have in hand. The AR would be strapped to my back and a full size .45 would be on my hip
