I have no qualms that 147gr. JHP 9mm will do the job very effectively. If really GIVEN a choice, I'd rather set on a hill with a rifle...or pop out of cover with a 12 gauge rather than a pistol. JMO, YMMV

I keep an adequate supply of ammo for each pistol caliber I own. After many years of shooting only 45 acp, I often carry an EMP 40 or XD40sc. My pair of M9 pistols are primarily used at the range.

For me top is 12ga but I perfer 9mm for handguns as the recoil is wasy enough for follow ups and can hold more than enough before I need a reload.
