YES, THEY ARE ILLEGAL. ILLEGAL INVADORS. Is it still not a crime to harbor and aid a criminal. I hope they keep doing this and step it up. I know of several states that are trying to pass legislation making this clearly illegal. If we keep doing this only two things can happen; They will go back were they came from or they will turn to other illegal ways of making money. I say we also investigate these politicians homes and see if they have any illegals working for them (maids, cleaners, lawn care, etc.)

Most definitely.
Just as immigrants are illegal lawbreakers when they cross over our borders without going through proper channels, people who knowingly employ illegal immigrants are engaging in criminal activities and are criminals just the same. I think busting employers of illegals is the best place to start to get control of this problem. bd |

yes, they should be targeted... anything to help correct the problem.
here's a story about new port security: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/12423287/ there's concern that it'll cost people jobs b/c it would preclude illegal immigrants from working around the ports. WHAT'S THE FRICKING PROBLEM? just as we don't want some middle eastern country controlling our ports, why should we let illegals do it too? i really don't see why this is a negative. there are concerns that there'll be a bottle neck and not enough workers. i'm sure there are plenty of americans willing to work those jobs. |

I voted yes and I am a General Contractor. I believe that if work dries up for them they will not hang around. Heck that is the reason most of them come to the US. I don't hire illegals as labor nor do I hire Illegals as sub's. The reason some due is because of greed, they pay them less than they would someone that is legal. Before some one cries about being competitive most bids are done with the proper pay scale in the first place ie they pocket more money if they use illegal labor or sub's.
I will due my part to help this country by doing what is right. If others don't I believe they should reap what they sow!

Must be an illegal who voted no. Or a contractor who hires illegals. Why else would some one vote 'no'.

Yes, if there's no work for them, they'll stay home.

It pisses me off that when I get illegals applying for work, and I KNOW they are illegal, that I cannot call INS and tell them I have another one for them to come pick them up.
Somehow this violates their "rights"...what F'in rights? They are not citizens and therefore should not have any rights according to our laws. I hired a guy who's paperwork checked out and he got "injured" on his first day...he sued the company and was given a settlement by our insurance company. And to my understanding, he was allowed to stay in the country as well.
