Getting old

How many pills do you take per day? Vitamins and Fish Oil don't count. I mean perscription.

I take synthroid for a thyroid condition. That's the only pill I take, but I also take Novolog and Lantus insulin injections everyday for type 1 diabetes. Been doing this for 2.5 years now and will be for a long time (only 21)

Pregabalin twice a day for nerve pain due to back injury.
Omeprazole once a day for stomach problems.
Ranitidine once a day for stomach problems.

The stomach problems? Due to 30 years of NASID use for back pain.

I currently take ibuprofen, naproxen and acetaminophen on a daily basis.

Tramadol as needed for pain and sleeping pills to help me sleep when it feels like my legs are burning up due to nerve irritation.

It really doesn't help that I walk almost 10 miles a day on my job.

I was taking 15 different RX meds. BUT! They actually made my health worse!

I now take about 8-10 supplements and the occasional OTC for pain. If it were up to my doctors and the "Heathcare" system, I would have been in my grave years ago. I no longer trust the "medical" profession to do "ANYTHING"!

I try and limit my visits to a physical once a year or less. IF a problem is found I say thanks; but NO thanks to RX meds and treatments. I then search out "Alternatives".

BTW;
Several years ago "doctors" and so called specialist wrote me off.

GOD, "Alternative" medicine, vitamins and supplements have healed my liver and kidneys, improved my heart function and immune system and kept me well for the last 8 years.
