Fedex or UPS? - Page 4 - XDTalk Forums

I prefer fedex to ups, ips was supposed to deliver a overnight package, it took 2 weeks, I have never had a problem with fedex in MY area.

I much prefer UPS. Have had much better service from them then FedEx. And as far as the USPS goes, I had a package to mail to my daughter in Florida. It was going to cost $43.75 at the post office. UPS delivered it for $14.85 and I got a tracking number. Try tracking anything being delivered by the USPS.

We ship both at work and usually, UPS comes out on top. Our volume is down {so what else is new} but still kicking out 200-300 UPS packages and about 50 or so FedEx. {Some customers mandate FedEx} For the volume that we ship, the % of exceptions is very low. Had a higher percentage of exceptions with FedEx, but not out of site.

As far as Freight goes? UPS Freight sucks...... Currently we use FedEx National and they have been very good. Shipping from Chicago to our facility in Las Vegas, UPS freight screwed it up 4 times out of 4. FedEx Freight has nailed it every time and has been cheaper than any of our other LTL shippers.

Fedex, unless it is bulky/freight. Fedex will rape you on the bulky stuff.

UPS has always appeared very angry and sort of a militant org.

I have done some limited work with FedEx. They have some amazing tech and operations.
