Yep, have thought about it. I did not order the truck with 20's but that is what it had. Our 2005 has 17" rims....tires are a lot cheaper. But I am getting lazy in my old age....don't feel like having to recalibrate the speedo [yep, it won't be off by much and it is just a quick flash upgrade but..] and don't want to have to screw around with the tire pressure sensors....

So, Still looking at the Dueler A/T Revos but paying $1000.00 for a set of tires just rubs me the wrong way. Anyone familiar with the Cooper Zeon LTZ's? Discount Tire's website has good reviews, but in all of my drive time, never have run a Cooper tire.

linky: Tire Details - Discount Tire

Asked a bud about tires...his answer was good: throw a 4" lift and put some real sized tires on it..... Like the idea but the mileage would kill and I have a hard enough time finding a parking garage in Chicago as it is....

Still lookin so keep throwing ideas....and thanks for all of options so far. Notice that no one has spoken for Generals....I had those for 400 miles on our 05 before they got dumped for the Bridgestones....without a doubt, the worst tire I have ever run.

I had the Bridgestones on my Chevy and I loved them. Quiet on the highway, excellent snow and ice traction, Very good wear. I had almost 60K on mine before I went From the stock 16s to 18s. They still had a little tread left.

man i got 20s on my blazer (factory) and they were 1100 dollars everywhere i went.

for the exact same tires that are on it (good year eagles) they were 500 at sams club...140 a tire...the michelins are 1100 dollars and are a 50k mile tire...the eagles are 500 dollars and are a 35k tire. so buying the eagles i get 70k miles for 1000 dollars. 20k more miles for an extra 100 dollars...ill take that

I just went through this with my 04 Tahoe. It had Wrangler ATS on it. I was trying to determine what 'new' tire I should get and figured that I got 56K+ out of the tires so I should just get another set. I looked on tire rack and was ready to get some and the looked for recommended installers. I called the recommended installer and said I was looking on Tire Rack and asked what they could price the tires for. They ended up being about the same, so I gave my money to them.

Cooper makes an excellent tire. They also makes many different brands including Mastercraft, Mickey Thompson, Dick Cepek and Dean LT tires. I sell a lot of the Cooper Discovery HT's to several of my customers and they have been very satisfied with them, but have not sold the Zeon LTZ's yet. I mainly sell Mickey Thompson tires and the quality of the Cooper product is excellent, of course M/T's come at a premium price also. So not really a review of that particular tire, but I haven't had any major issues from any of their brands that we distribute.
