About the only rail less Sig's you can find now are the SAS models or the X series guns.

P220 SAS Gen II Bi-Tone...
Now that is a great suggestion..

My P229 is a Gen II but I special ordered it with a DAK trigger.
The main reason I bought the Gen II SAS was to get a new Sig without a rail.
But since getting the P226, I have a new appreciation of the DA/SA so I'm converting the P229.
Besides my 15 year old daughter (my main range partner) likes the DA/SA better.
But the P239 being my EDC, will remain a DAK pistol.

Yes. I just spent close to $200 for parts to convert my P229 SAS from DAK to DA/SA.
There will be no gunsmithing charges, I'll do it myself.
I would have made you a deal on the DAK parts Tard.
I'll probably put the DAK parts up for sale on Sigforum..

I was iffy on my P226 purchase because the gun is longer than both my P229 and P239.
I would have bought a rail-less P226 but couldn't find one in 9mm.
But once I got her home and to the range, the rail doesn't bother me at all.
But I wouldn't want a rail on my carry Sigs..
But that full size P226 is quickly becoming my favorite shooter..
For range and HD I'd go for the longer barrel and better balance.
Besides the full size is cooler and you're a cool dude..
