Talking You know, people may be a little shy about this.

People may be a little shy about their barrel polishing plans, but who knows in this day and age. I know mine is rapidly losing the melonite coating.

Nah, none here. I used to be into modifying all my toys and cars.. I found that though it makes me happy at the time and may look good, it was always best when it was stock and running like a champ. Would hate to void any warranties over some bling.

This is my rifle, this is my gun......

Polish the barrel on your gun? Is that what you kids call it these days?

You plan on sniping someone with your pistol? Just curious.

Polishing the barrel also makes for a smoother action... more efficient for the spring when it finally is put to the test (at least my little bersa is that way... same with the KelTec).

Neither one use a HIGH quality steel that gets to a mirror finish (even after hours of buffing and polish). However, that's not to mean that it can't be done that way.

I just keep my XD's clean and shiny. No extra polishing plans. They still work fine after all these years.
