That was pretty well done! a shotgun racking really seems to take the ****** out of people.

I really don't think that would work.

but it would be funny to try yelling it at the guy,

"I'm drunk and I am at the wrong apartment...."

or maybe....

"Oh crap, you're right! ... And man is she ugly!"

For the OP,
I would have let him tire out and give him the warning.
Much like you did.
You can't reason with a drunk (see below)...

If she was psycho, I know why you married her.....

I've had relationships with a few psycho women..
OMG they did have the their perks ,
but the pains outweighed the perks

Yes, some of us seem to learn things the hard way...

I love my new wife (of 2 years).
She is only a little psycho, so far....

LOL I love it!

I've been married for a little over a month. If this happened to me, well, I'd simply say "If you would like to get shot, come right on in! I have a shotgun that'd like to meet you!"

Oh, trust me, I am just waiting for a chance to say, "Get off my lawn."

Now where did I leave that M1?...

Brilliant!!! The loudest sound in the world is the sound of a shotgun being racked! For the poll I chose "keep talking." Don't think I could muster the kind of patience and wit you displayed. Good thread.

Voted OTHER simply because I had a similar situation one morning about ten years ago.

My neighbor's five year old daughter came running to my place one morning screaming to me: "My Momma's in trouble Daddy's beating her up!"

As I start over there her Mom breaks loose from her live in boy friend and comes running to my place with the the boy friend, high on drugs, in hot pursuit. I get her in my place with my wife and lock the doors and get on the phone with 911 while he's trying to break into my house. In the mean time the little girl is in my lap and I'm trying to calm her down while talking to 911 and the mom is yelling at me to get a gun shoot him. At this point I tell the 911 operator that there are weapons in the house but that they are secured forgetting that there was a loaded 44 Mag laying in the headboard of my bed and I'm giving her (the 911 Operator) a blow by blow as to what is going down. The first Deputy shows up just as the guy walks out of my place after breaking the front door down and chasing his girlfriend around the inside of my house. The second Deputy showed up a few minutes later after the first deputy had the boyfriend handcuffed in custody. As the soon as things quited down he thanked me for be so calm with the dispatcher and giving her the information she need as it gave him an excuse to find out what his patrol car could really do as he said exceded 100 mph in getting to my place he was about 12 miles away in Quilicene.

Of coarse I'm known by local law enforcement as I've had extensive contact with them as a member of our Emergency Management System.
