How many rounds do you need?
How many rounds to you want to feel comfortable? That is, you're not going out dealing with all the **** these days. I want to know the number of rounds in your stash that give you a feeling that if something happens, you'll be OK.
Personally for me, if I have 500 rounds per gun, I feel good. I feel like if I want to go shooting and I'm under 500, I won't go until I get more ammo. If I get under 500 rounds of a particular caliber, I feel like all these nuts on the internet, and I will either go to walmart at night when they get a shipment, or pay high prices at the gun stores.
So what's your magic number? How many rounds to you want to have for each gun to make you sleep good at night? Remember these numbers are per gun.

I have a minimum of 1000 rds per caliber. But I reload. 6.5 grendel and 30.06 I have to buy and have less then 100 rds each.

Thousand for me just to feel comfortable. I still buy extra just to go to the range. Think about it. 100 rounds per session is only ten months of range trips if you limit it to 100 rounds per weapon and only go once per month. We have already been in an ammo crunch for almost 6 months and I see it possibly getting worse.

1000 rounds for each caliber is my comfort zone, but I have yet to reach that for anything. I haven't even come close with the exception of .22lr.
I am lucky to see 100 rounds of anything.

I like to have more, but I only need one round unless there are two assailants...

i would say a couple k for each caliber
but im only worried about my two main calibers...223 and 45
On hand i have about 700 rounds 223 loaded up and 1.5k 45
But i have enough components for about 6k 223 and 8k 45
So if shtf, one really long day of loading and id be ready for a zombie invasion

Around a thousand for auto handgun with enough reloading supplies on hand for 2000 more for each cartridge. For revolvers I might have a couple hundred loaded at any given time.
For rifle I like to keep a couple hundred with reloading supplies for about a thousand more for each cartridge. For some, like 7.7jap, I'll never have more than a couple dozen on hand.
I don't reload shotgun and keep maybe 150 bird shot in 12 and 20 gauge and probably don't have more than 25 in .410 bore.
That's my comfort level and I don't make plans for SHTF, just my normal fun shooting. I have quite a bit more 9mm and 30-06 than mentioned above because I stocked up years ago when I thought it was inexpensive.
