Typical....I'm not concerned, though. I don't remember the specifics of the procedure involved, but I'd wager it's all but impossible to pass a Constitutional Amendment with the country divided the way it is. IIRC it takes at least two-thirds of the states to adopt it, and that just ain't happening.

the FEDs can always pull $ from the states unless they comply. our glorious govt. can do some nipple twisting.

The 22nd was only ratified in 1951. Our Founding Fathers did not see a need for it, and we got along fine for a long time with out it.

I don't see a reason to get upset about the proposal because they have someone they like. However, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. That means that they would approve of 12 years of Bush as long as the right kept electing him?????
