Congress declares Obama the next president

WASHINGTON (AP) — Barack Obama is officially the next president of the United States, Congress declared Thursday in fulfilling its centuries-old constitutional duty to certify and tally the electoral college vote from each state.
Republicans joined Democrats in a standing ovation as Vice President Dick Cheney, in his role as president of the Senate, announced from the podium that Obama had achieved a majority of votes and would be the 44th president on Jan. 20.
Speaking before a joint session of the House and Senate, Cheney confirmed the results of the Nov. 4 election, that Obama and next Vice President Joe Biden had received 365 electoral votes while the Republican ticket of John McCain and Sarah Palin garnered 173 votes.
"The outcome was not surprising, but it's wonderful to have it official," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said after the session.
"Pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the United States, the Senate and House of Representatives are meeting in joint session to verify the certificates and count the votes of the electors of the several states," Cheney intoned in opening the session.
Four "tellers," two members each from the House and Senate, then commenced reading the votes from each state. Ironically, the first four states read in alphabetical order — Alabama, Alaska, Arizona and Arkansas — all gave their votes to McCain and Palin.
A cheer went up when the next state, California, gave its 55 votes to Obama and Biden.
Another note of levity in the otherwise formal and scripted ceremony came as teller Rep. Robert Brady, D-Pa., drew some laughs when he read that the vote from Ohio, a focus of voter disputes in recent elections, "appears to be regular in form and authentic."
Cheney led a Senate delegation into the House chamber along with teenage pages carrying two mahogany boxes containing the certified vote totals of each state.
He sat on the podium next to Pelosi, carrying out what could be his last act as president of the Senate. He handed the certificates from each state's electors to the four tellers to be read and tallied.
The reading took about 30 minutes.
At the conclusion of the state-by-state rundown, Cheney read the tally sheet and announced the results — that Obama has been elected president and Biden will succeed Cheney as vice president.
The 12th Amendment, ratified in 1804, directs the electors chosen by the states to meet and vote for president and vice president, conveying the results to the president of the Senate.
That was accomplished Dec. 15, when the electors, in a largely ceremonial rite preordained by Obama's Nov. 4 victory over McCain, gathered in state capitals to cast their votes. As on Thursday, the tally was 365 for Obama, 173 for McCain.
The electoral college is made up of 538 electors, with each state getting its equivalent in the 435-member House and the 100-member Senate. The District of Columbia gets the other three electors.
The session this year was drama-free, unlike in 2001, when then-Vice President Al Gore presided over the session that declared George W. Bush the winner over Gore in a disputed election. Gore disallowed objections from fellow Democrats who asserted that Bush had unfairly won Florida and tried to block Florida's electoral votes from being counted.
Florida's Democratic senator, Bill Nelson, on Thursday pointed to the 2000 election, when Gore received more popular votes than Bush nationwide, in proposing a constitutional amendment to abolish the Electoral College in favor of direct popular votes. He said the current system permits a candidate with fewer votes nationally to win the presidency by capturing narrow victories in big states.
Nelson and others have made similar proposals in past sessions of Congress without success.
Also on Thursday, Supreme Court Justice David Souter rejected an emergency plea to prevent Congress from certifying the electoral vote. It was the latest of at least 8 appeals to the court in recent months — all quickly dismissed — asserting that Obama is ineligible to be president because he is not a "natural-born citizen" as the Constitution requires.
Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961 to an American mother and a Kenyan father. Internet-fueled theories contend either that Obama's birth certificate is a fake or he is ineligible because he had dual nationality when he was born. Hawaii officials have said the birth certificate is authentic.
And, in other shocking news today, it was discovered that California voted for the Democratic candidate in this last Presidential Election cycle...Bob, over to you for this exciting on the scene report.....

I keep reading the thread title as "Congress Declares War on Next President".
Either it's time to go to bed, or it's time to beat my inner child and latent thought back into the part of my brain where useless junk goes.

The vote count was a fraud.
It did not follow protocol, and the imposter has been shuffled into position for the takeover.
Forgive the cuss word, but is anyone else fed up with "bipartianship" politics destroying this country? I continue to get emails from the herd who say Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Obama or whatever his real name might be, is now the president and we should support him. Support a Marxist? Support an impostor who is constitutionally ineligible to serve as president? I don't think so. You see, for me the U.S. Constitution matters, as well as all the sacrifices and blood spilled on the battle field to birth this republic.
But, I guess that's the norm these days in America. Go with the flow, don't resist. Get over it. My advice to those folks: Get down on your knees and try not to let the clanking from your chains of bondage reach your cowardly heart.
"Here's some change you might find hard to believe in. Republican Congressional leaders Mitch McConnell & John Boehner say they like what they are hearing so far on Obama's economic plans.
"I think we are being listened to," McConnell told reporters. "I'm pleased with what the new president's had to say so far. I don't have any complaints about the communication at this stage." McConnell said that Republicans have consulted with economists "who would be considered more conservative" and "Each of them agreed with the president, the incoming president, that we need to do a stimulus."
More McConnell: "It's clear to me from listening to the president, the new president, that he wants to include Republican ideas and among them, that I've laid out in the last few days, are reducing the middle-class tax rate."
Obama's so called plan for the economy is another massive disaster in the making. It will throw kerosene on the bond fire already burning red hot. Stimulus package, Mitch? The U.S. Treasury is OVERDRAWN nearly $11 TRILLION dollars and you want to write more hot checks? That's the new bipartianship? In the words of a brilliant man who puts Obama's limited intelligence to shame:
"Peter Schiff, president of Euro Pacific Capital, an investment firm specializing in overseas investments, wrote in a research note the stimulus debate has not done enough to focus on the cost to taxpayers that will come from the programs. "The truth is that the only way out of this mess is less government, more savings, and increased production," Schiff wrote. "Obama's plan is a recipe for economic ruin."
Peter Schiff, like Congressman Ron Paul, Dr. Edwin Vieira and so many others, predicted years ago there would be a financial collapse as the perfect storm was building. I recommend you watch this video interview with Schiff because he tells you straight and without all the frills that the results of the global elites economic plan to be implemented by impostor president-elect Barack Hussein Obama will be devastating.
Now, Republicans like what they're hearing? Only a fool or someone completely ignorant of what's right in front of their face in 20' neon lights could "like" what they're hearing from impostor elect Obama and his Clinton retreads. Reach across the isle and work together? That's a grand idea. Walk to the edge of the cliff, boy and girls. Hold hands and jump in a bipartianship fashion.
Merrill Lynch says the rich are flocking to gold as the financial collapse picks up speed. No one said the rich were dumb, but Mark Twain hit it right on the money when he said, "Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of Congress; but I repeat myself." Tragically, it's no laughing matter. Millions of Americans are being driven into poverty. The American dream is being stomped into the ground by Congress after Congress regardless of which party holds "power."
How about a legitimate president in office before those crackers out there in Congress get giddy over bipartianship? You can't tell me members of Congress haven't been bombarded over the past few months in one of the biggest, most sustained grass roots efforts (besides stopping the illegals invasion) I've seen in almost two decades over the cover up regarding Obama and his true citizenship. And, still, they remain silent. The electoral college votes were counted on January 8, 2009. Electoral college votes derived from massive vote fraud and herds of cattle going to the ballot box to vote for the "cool" dude.
This bipartianship rhetoric is hooey while the freight train to hyperinflation and crushing unemployment picks up speed across this country. Remember when Congressman Paul Broun accurately called Comrade Obama a Marxist? A little incoming flak and he folded. There's an old saying, "Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas." It looks like the Republicans are going to be doing a lot of backside scratching in the upcoming days.
Several things on the Obama cover up regarding his constitutional eligibility to hold the office of president. I watched the counting of the electoral college votes on C-SPAN last Thursday. A real gag fest. The count took place. The vile Chuck Schumer proudly grinned over the final count. Dick Cheney grinned. Nancy Pelosi was trying as much as her plastic surgery would allow. One thing I did not know which has been brought to my attention: It appears Tricky Dick violated the law at the end of the counting.
Not one single member of the House or counterfeit Senate made an objection to the count nor did Dick Cheney ask if there was an objection. Is he supposed to? Words have meaning and 'shall' doesn't mean should or could:

"Upon such reading of any such certificate or paper, the President of the Senate shall call for objections, if any. Every objection shall be made in writing, and shall state clearly and concisely, and without argument, the ground thereof, and shall be signed by at least one Senator and one Member of the House of Representatives before the same shall be received."
Realistically, the fix was in before the session even opened. You can watch the counting of the vote here; the pertinent part of the process begins at about 30:10. Cheney does not ask if there is an objection. As I read the code, he violated the law. The only ones who care are you, me and Americans like Dr. Edwin Vieira, who said this: "Another anomalous illegality. They do not even bother to dissemble any more."

B. 2008 Nonpartisan Selection Criteria
The CPD's nonpartisan criteria for selecting candidates to participate in the 2008 general election presidential debates are:
1. Evidence of Constitutional Eligibility <>
The CPD's first criterion requires satisfaction of the eligibility requirements of Article II,
Section 1 of the Constitution. The requirements are satisfied if the candidate:
a. is at least 35 years of age;
b. is a Natural Born Citizen of the United States and a resident of the United States for fourteen years; and;
c. is otherwise eligible under the Constitution.
I wonder what documentation Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Soetoro and so forth, provided to the CPD? Today I will be sending a letter to them requesting all documentation, emails, hard copy letters, forms and applications submitted by the impostor elect in order for him to participate in the debates. CPD is a private organization with the usual new world order advocates, so a Freedom of Information Act request would not be applicable here. However, Dr. Vieira has advised me should they fail to respond:
"If they, too, claim the material is somehow privileged from disclosure, the pot will really have reached the boiling point. As a 501(c)(3) they could be sued for disclosure by any contributor, who could claim his contribution was obtained by a fraudulent misrepresentation that they were actually vetting the four candidates, when in fact they were not (or were hiding what they found)."
As my readers know, my State Records Act to the Illinois State Board of Elections produced one letter from their General Counsel (addressed to the wrong person) who stated they have not one single piece of paper from Obama for his 1996 candidacy for the Illinois State Senate. In other words, what Sandvoss is saying is that a candidate for the Illinois State Senate simply got on the ballot without any notification or application to the state. The Secretary of State responded they have no documents, but the State Board of Elections does. I have already filed a complaint with the Director.
Let me see if I have this straight. Impostor president-elect, Obama, has sealed all of his records except what he can't that are a matter of public record. His sealed Occidental College records are of great interest. Obama traveled to Pakistan in the 1980s when it was illegal for U.S. Citizens to enter that country. I believe his records will show he is designated as a foreign student without U.S. citizenship.
This would be a result of his mother, Stanley, and her marriage to Indonesian citizen, Lolo Soetoro. As for Harvard and Columbia, ever wonder what this guy's grades look like? I don't. He graduated without honors. The great flim-flam man has sold the American people an image; an illusion. Oh, yeah, he taught constitutional law. And, what constitution would that be? Not the U.S. Constitution by any stretch of one's imagination.
Phil Berg's lawsuit was heard in secret by the nine justices of the U.S. Supreme Court on January 9, 2009. The order for that should come this morning. Phil's second Distribution for Conference will be this Friday, January 16, 2009. Dr. Orly Taitz' lawsuit, Lightfoot v Bowen, is scheduled for January 23, 2009.
Will the Federal Elections Commission audit the hundreds of millions of dollars that flowed into the Messiah's election coffers? The impostor elect's handlers know the law and that is why Obama did not take "public" funds for his campaign.
However, do remember that Al Capone wasn't brought down over the murder and mayhem he was responsible for, it was the tax man that got him. Regular readers to my column know I have been forwarding information to James Burrus, Chief, Election Fraud Division, FBI, Washington, DC with a polite request that Obama be fully investigated. Between the campaign funds which flooded in from overseas, Obama's shadowy dealings with crooks like Rezko and others, and his soliciting donations when he knew he was not eligible to run for the office of president, trouble is brewing for Mr. Cool.
