Clown, schown. He's the elected president. I didn't vote for him and I'll withhold my judgment about him being president until he's actually done something. However, I'll say the same thing I tell all the Bush bashers - he still the president.

Anyway, you might to define many:

History - Construction of the airport began in 1942 with modest ambitions. Only 1,000 acres (4 kmē) of land on the site of Idlewild golf course were earmarked for use. The golf course provided the airport's original namesake, Idlewild Airport. First commercial flights began on July 1, 1948. The airport was formally dedicated as New York International Airport on July 31, 1948. It was re-dedicated on December 24, 1963 as John F. Kennedy International Airport, following action of the Mayor and Council of the City of New York, and a resolution of the Commissioners of the Port Authority.

On February 6, 1998, President William Jefferson Clinton signed into law the bill introduced and passed in Congress that changed the name of Washington National Airport to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

No, a blog says it's a rumor. I'm sure that someone mentioned it and it got overheard. Happens all the time.

From the OP's referenced article:
Quote:
Behind the scenes work is already underway to rename Chicago’s Midway Airport after Obama — becoming the Barack H. Obama International Airport.

Apparently, there are those in the city, especially on the Olympics Committee, that want this done before October 2009, to give the IOC a little more incentive to award Chicago the 2016 games (despite the fact that here in Chicago it’s already considered a done-deal we’ll get the Olympics, and has been since November 4th). The Obamafication of Chicago begins with renaming Midway…and is partially designed to remind the IOC, in as loud a voice possible, that Chicago’s what gave the world Obama, and thus Chicago should be rewarded with the 2016 games, in “The One’s” adopted hometown.
Prior to the completion of Democrat primaries, the Democrat Convention in Denver, and the November presidential election, one of my contentions regarding Daley the Younger's influence and support for then primary candidate 0bama was so that Daley would have a friend in the White House to provide support (financial and otherwise) for Daley's "dream" of an Olympic Games in Chicago.

Chicago (and Cook County) already at the highest sales tax rate in the nation, and millions and millions of dollars over budget, cannot possibly afford to spend the money necessary to prepare for, and run an Olympic Games... but that will not stop Mayor Daley. He will be looking for Federal funding to grease the skids the Chicago Way, make money for friends and political allies... all from his good buddy, the Obamameister.

Chicago Machine/Cook County Politics elevated to the national level, courtesy of the Democrat Party!

Have fun, US of A... you, the electorate, voted in this guy.

Not necessarily... right now, he's a former senator. There is another airport that for the last 8 years has been named after another living, in-office, senator. Ted Stevens is not a good precedent to follow, but it's not a new thing.
