I think things need to put into perspective.I take Paul's opinion on that topic as a needed adjustment.

If you take Paul's opinion to mean America is to blame for everything, and everyone else's reactions are justified.... then I have a problem with that too.

When put up against our long standing beliefs that America can do no wrong and we are justified in all of our actions.... well added up.... it puts things in a more realistic middle.

I do believe America is reaping what it has sowed. That we are creating our international problems through policy, the same way we have created our own problems at home through policy. (As opposed to actually solving them) It in no way shape or form absolves idiots for killing civilians, or those that hate for the sake of hate. I have zero problems with killing those that would wish to kill me. (As long as my side of the street is clean, then let the guns blaze.)

It's not "blame America"...rather policies that have over-reached (blown back) and have come back to bite us. His discussion Of Wilsonian policy is a good read.

I realize that is just the label attached to him by the right in order to dismiss, among others.

I take him not as "blame America" but "wake up America." In a sense, a prophet in addressing America's economic and foreign policy. I think he makes a strong case in tying foreign policy to the economy. He doesn't separate the two and he's consistent in his views.

9/11 is a day i will never forget, so i think my experience that day then hearing him pretty much blame america for that day was a hard one to chew.

i understand the background and why it happened and all, but he's pretty cold about the loss of life and those people who suffered that day. this is just my .02. i agree with about 95% of what RP puts forward still.

No man loves his country and it's people more. If he didn't care, he wouldn't make himself a target of the status quo. He has stated quite clearly who the guilty were on that day. His argument is the history that brought them to that fateful decision.

That's one of several factors that make him the leader we need, but the leader we'll never elect.
