Hmm, i agree with frenchy...my uncle was drafted for Viet Nam-stayed for 4 years, he won't allow me to post his pic but this guy was conscripted-part of the the most effective armies the world has ever seen...my grandfather...

I would never support mandatory military service. I'd take 1 motivated soldier over 500 soldiers who didn't want to be there any day. Some of my coworkers are disgruntled enough as it is. I can't even begin to imagine how deployment would have been if I were surrounded by people who didn't volunteer to be there. Besides, isn't this what our volunteer military fights for? To give the American people freedom of choice and liberty?
